Deus,

and the story of Genesis

Deus was an interplanetary invasion weapon system which was built in ancient times by humans from another planet. It was created as an automatic weapon which could act upon it's own will to take control of a targeted planet. During a test run, Deus became uncontrollable- releasing a wave of power and destroying an entire planet. The creators of Deus found it's immense power to be too much of a threat, and hence forcibly shut it down.

In order to analyze the cause of the problem, it's core was dismantled and placed on an interplanetary emigrant passenger ship, the - ELDRIDGE- to be transported to another planet. On this ship, Zohar, the main power source for Deus, accidentally came into contact with a small boy. It manifests this boy's one emotional image, the love for his mother. Zohar ( or God ) interprets this as it's only means of escape from the bounds of the Zohar reactor, and thus becomes the form of a female. This image of a boy was later used by Zohar (which now contained the physical manifestation of God [see Story pg. 2 ] ) to create the first man to inhabit the planet, and the vessel for the power of God. This being was also known as the 'Contact'.

Becoming aware of the fact that it was being taken from it's home planet, the disassembled Deus resisted. It tried to take over the ship that was transporting it. However, as a last line of defense against the escape of Deus, it's creators unexpectedly destroyed the whole ship, sending it crashing to a primitive planet.

Deus knew that it would not be able to escape the explosion or the imminent impact. To protect itself, Deus detached it's core from the 'Zohar' power reactor. The core which was detached from Zohar, the 'biologocal computer Kadomony' crashed onto the planet. It activated -Persona-, it's life support plant, which had the ability to create organic material. Using this, it prepared itself a genetic-based system for the day when Deus would be resurrected. Thus, Deus created the woman Miang. Miang was to be the "Mother" of the new race of humans, created solely for the purpose of resurrecting the body of Deus. Miang then bore the Gazel Ministry, and Cain. These "first humans" were to seek out ways to bring Deus to life once more, and to eliminate any obstacles which became a threat to their purpose. Because Miang was the first female, all women that belonged to this "new race of humans," were to inherit the "Miang gene". This gene manifested itself in women who were put in prominent places. For example, Fei's mother became Miang, because she was close to the 'Contact' who was a threat to Deus. Miang was thus reborn in each generation to oversee and guide others toward the path of the resurrection of Deus.

In addition to the Gazel Ministry, which were Miang's offspring, the Zohar reactor created a being of it's own. Since Zohar now held divine power, or God, which was trapped inside the Zohar reactor [ see Story pg. 2 ], this human was to hold a power foreign to the Ministry. This being was "Abel," who was to possess God's power. Abel was a young man made in the image of the 'Contact', and was given life in hopes that he would be the one to destroy Deus and thus free God from the bounds of Zohar.

However, an event occurs that hindered Deus' plans of resurrection- Abel, who was created by Zohar, or God, meets Miang. In reaction to this contact with Abel, Miang's image splits. Her original image of "the Mother's love" resurfaces, and thus becomes the "Anti-Contact" or Elhaym. This "Anti-Contact", or "Anti-type" falls madly in love with the Contact, or Abel. God, or Zohar, sees this to it's advantage and decides to reincarnate the two in each generation, where, "their love will be as infinite as their lives." These two divine beings were to be reborn in each generation- Elhaym and Abel, Elhaym and Kim, Sophia and Lacan, and now, Elhaym and Fei. As they were born from two different sources, Abel and Elhaym were completely different from the Ministry.

The remaining half of Miang retains Deus' evil interests, but can only accomplish her mission of resurrecting the machine if she rejoins the "Anti-Contact" ( Elly, for now ).

Cain and the Gazel Ministry set out to destroy the couple, Abel and Elly, so as to eliminate any interruption to the resurrection of Deus.

As soon as they were given life, the Ministry began to seek the Anima Relics, and the bodies of select other humans. This is because, before becoming human, the Ministry, including Cain, were once part of the organic elements in the core circuit that made up Deus. There were two types of organic elements: the female part was called 'Anima', while the male part was called 'Animus'. These parts of Deus were also created with the added ability to become mobile weapons by merging with machinery that was suited for use as Terminal Interface Weapons for Deus, ( the Omnigears were one form of such weapons ). The Ministry, who were Animus, were to become one again with their separated Anima at the time of the resurrection of God ( or Deus ).

In the present time of the game, the Ministry's physical bodies had been lost in the war between Shevat and Solaris, 500 years in the past. It was then, when they lost their bodies, that Krelian put their personality data into a machine called the SOL-9000. This is where the Ministry then resided, as data in the memory banks of this machine.
